Paris, France | 2 October 2025: JusticeMakers Bangladesh in France (JMBF) presents its submission to the Chief of the Asia-Pacific Region at the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR), concerning reported extrajudicial killings and custodial deaths in Bangladesh.
Based on JMBF’s monitoring, the report documents 60 incidents involving 70 victims between August 2024 and July 2025 and examines allegations of torture, fatal shootings, medical neglect and barriers to justice. It calls for independent investigations, accountability for those responsible, protection for victims’ families and human rights defenders, and reforms to strengthen safeguards within law enforcement agencies and detention facilities.
