Our Activities and Programmes

• Human rights monitoring: we track and document reported human rights developments in Bangladesh and identify issues requiring attention.
• Fact-finding and investigation: we gather and organise information about reported violations, communicate with affected people and other sources, and prepare impartial reports.
• Bangladesh Alerts: we publish timely public communications about serious developments and state our concerns and calls for action.
• Urgent Appeals: we share time-sensitive case information with relevant authorities and institutions and call for protection, investigation, accountability, or remedies.
• Press releases and public statements: we communicate findings, positions, and recommendations to the media and the public.
• Advocacy and policy engagement: we bring human rights concerns and reform proposals to government authorities, diplomatic missions, European and international institutions, and other decision-makers.
• Campaigns and public awareness: we use signature campaigns, human chains, rallies, discussions, seminars, and roundtables to promote rights and accountability.
• Legal aid & Counceling: we provide legal counselling, legal awareness, direct legal assistance, case support, and public interest litigation where appropriate and available.
• Capacity building: we deliver and participate in training, seminars, and workshops on human rights, legal empowerment, good governance, peace, and democracy.
• Conferences: we organise & participate in human rights conferences and professional exchanges to raise concerns, share information, and engage with institutions and civil society.
• Day observances: we mark significant national and international human rights days to inform the public and encourage solidarity and action.
• Referral mechanism: we connect people, including Bangladeshi-origin asylum seekers, refugees, and immigrants in France, with existing support services as appropriate.
• Research and reporting: we publish human rights situation and thematic reports, annual activity reports, testimony reports, fact-finding reports, persecution reports, and other research outputs.
