JMBF President Raises Bangladesh Human Rights Crisis with Enabel CEO in Brussels

Paris, France | 8 August 2026: Advocate Shahanur Islam, Founder and President of JusticeMakers Bangladesh in France (JMBF), raised concerns over the ongoing human rights crisis in Bangladesh and urged the Belgian Government and the European Union to take effective measures to ensure the protection of fundamental rights during a discussion with Mr. Jean Van Wetter, CEO of the Belgian Agency for International Cooperation (Enabel), on the sidelines of the EU-Wide Network Retreat, held in Brussels from 5–7 August 2026.

JMBF Leadership Participates in International Conference on Decriminalization of Homosexuality in Paris

Paris, France | 26 June 2026: JusticeMakers Bangladesh in France (JMBF) President Advocate Shahanur Islam and Secretary General Advocate Mohammad Alamgir participated in the international conference entitled "What Narratives for the Decriminalization of Homosexuality?", held on 25 June 2026 at the Auditorium de l'Hôtel de Ville in Paris. The conference was organized by the Association for the Universal Decriminalization of Homosexuality (ADUH) in partnership with STOP Homophobie and the City of Paris.

JMBF Founder President Attends Active Solidarity Training in Czech Republic

Paris, France | 05 May 2026: Founder President of JusticeMakers Bangladesh in France, Advocate Shahanur Islam, participated in the “Active Solidarity Training” held from 28–30 April 2026 at Chata Doubravka in the Czech Republic.

The three-day international experiential training brought together participants from different European countries, including France, Germany, Hungary, Finland, Turkey, and the Czech Republic, to reflect on solidarity, equality, human rights, and civic participation in diverse societies.
