Paris, France; June 3, 2025: JusticeMakers Bangladesh in France (JMBF) strongly condemns the arrest of two prominent senior lawyers from the District Bar Associations of Jhenaidah and Kurigram—Advocate Bikash Kumar Ghosh and Advocate Amjad Hossain. The arrests are widely viewed as repressive, politically motivated, and acts of vengeance, carried out solely because the lawyers were performing their professional duties and exercising their right to freedom of political expression.
