The Grassroots Justice Network, a powerful global alliance of over 12,000 activists, lawyers, and community paralegals across 175 countries, welcomed JMBF as one of its newest members. JMBF is recognized for its deep grassroots engagement in Bangladesh, especially in promoting legal education, defending human rights, and expanding access to justice for women, youth, and vulnerable populations.
“We are honored to become part of this vibrant global network,” said Advocate Shahanur Islam, Founder and President of JusticeMakers Bangladesh in France. “This partnership will strengthen our ability to learn from and collaborate with justice advocates around the world. Together, we are committed to building inclusive, accessible, and people-powered justice systems.”
JMBF’s inclusion in the network underscores the growing momentum of transnational collaboration within the legal empowerment movement. As a GJN member, the organization will engage in global knowledge-sharing platforms, participate in advocacy campaigns, and benefit from peer learning and capacity-building opportunities designed to uplift community-based justice work.
A spokesperson from the Grassroots Justice Network praised the new partnership:
“JusticeMakers Bangladesh in France exemplifies the spirit of grassroots justice—locally rooted, community-driven, and globally engaged. Their commitment to equity and inclusion strengthens our global mission to make justice a reality for all.”
This partnership aligns with global efforts to fulfill Sustainable Development Goal 16: Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions, reaffirming a shared vision where justice is not a privilege for a few, but a right for all.
