A seven-year-old boy child in Savar, near Dhaka, reportedly turned to his teachers for help after being raped. According to the complaint, seeking protection exposed him to further abuse. The allegations—that the boy child endured repeated rape and sexual abuse over approximately six months at a madrasa—raise a devastating question: when those entrusted with a boy child’s safety become a threat, where can he turn?

Together with JusticeMakers Bangladesh in France (JMBF), Asian Voices Europe, and PLACE Network, Diaspora Vote is recruiting eight volunteer mentors from Belgium, France, and the Netherlands for the 2027 edition of the Work With Your MEP programme.

This is a volunteer role, requiring an average commitment of 5-10 hours per month from November 2026 to December 2027, including online meetings and 2/3 in-person events (covered). A total compensation of approximately €500 is provided for this role.

Call for Social Resistance to Sexual Violence, Effective Protection of Boy Children, and Accountability for Those Responsible

Paris, France | 9 September 2026: JusticeMakers Bangladesh in France (JMBF) today released its monitoring report on sexual violence against boy children in Bangladesh from its headquarters in Paris, France. According to JMBF’s monitoring, at least 103 boy children were subjected to sexual violence in 84 incidents or clusters of incidents between 1 January and 8 September 2026. Of these, 11 incidents involved multiple boy victims, representing 13.10 percent of all records.
