JMBF urgently seeks your intervention regarding the threatened eviction of 12 families belonging to the historically marginalized Harijan community, who have reportedly lived for approximately 80 years on the residential premises of the Naogaon Sadar Upazila Health Complex in Bangladesh.

URGENT APPEAL: Concerning the Arbitrary Detention of 49 Individuals, Including 17 Children, Following a Peaceful Political Rally in Noakhali, Bangladesh

Paris, France | 09 June 2026: JusticeMakers Bangladesh in France (JMBF) and the International League Against Arbitrary Detention (ILAAD) have submitted an urgent action request to the United Nations Working Group on Arbitrary Detention (WGAD) concerning the arbitrary arrest and detention of 49 individuals, including 17 children, following a peaceful political rally held in Noakhali on 5 June 2026.
