Tarique Rahman. The bill grants immunity from all forms of civil and criminal liabilities for acts committed by participants in the July–August 2024 uprising.

We consider this action to be a clearly politically motivated, repressive measure that constitutes a grave violation of the fundamental political rights of the people.
