During 2023, JusticeMakers Bangladesh in France (JMBF) concentrated on organisational consolidation, international advocacy, human rights monitoring, and strategic networking. As a newly established transnational human rights organisation operating from France, JMBF successfully laid the foundations for sustained and credible international engagement on the human rights situation in Bangladesh.
Key achievements during the year included the formal registration and operational launch of JMBF in France, enabling the organisation to function within a recognised legal and institutional framework. JMBF actively engaged with United Nations mechanisms, the Council of Europe, and European Union institutions, bringing attention to serious and persistent human rights violations in Bangladesh.
Throughout 2023, JMBF documented, analysed, and published information on a wide range of human rights violations, contributing to increased international awareness and accountability. The organisation also participated in high-level international conferences, forums, and dialogues, strengthening its visibility and credibility within global human rights spaces.
In response to urgent developments, JMBF issued timely statements, advocacy alerts, and urgent appeals addressing grave human rights concerns, reaffirming its commitment
