Paris, France | 30 October 2026: JusticeMakers Bangladesh in France (JMBF) strongly condemns the alleged extrajudicial killing of fisherman Akhtar Hossain Howlader (40), reportedly shot dead by River Police personnel, and the gunshot injuries sustained by four other fishermen during an alleged fisheries enforcement operation in the Meghna River at Hizla, Barishal, on 29 October 2026.
